Hello, virtual Wanderer

Elowynns home invites you to you  to a soundpicture and to your possibility for a reconciliACTION.
…What is a reonciliaction?
ReconciliACTION is an idea, you can discover  thanks to the „Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund“
I had the honour to be connected with the GWF, by the best canadian radiomaker of all 😉 time…Eric Alper! when I was looking for native canadian organisations to support with my soundpicture „Stop the Wheel“.
As I understand: The GWF founder, Gord Downie, once said, that the important change of the blind points in a destructive system…which grew on taking away the beautiful culture, the language, the land and the human rights of indigenous women, men and children.
..is based on the will to DO something for a reconciliation with the Native Canadian Nations.

The Story of Chanie Wenjack stands for generations of indigenous Children who were robbed from their families, their friends, and their culture to be christianised and brutally educated in christian residential schools.

„Inspired by Chanie’s story and Gord’s call to action to build a better Canada, the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF) aims to build cultural understanding and create a path toward reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.

DWF provides education on the true history of Indigenous People in Canada and the lasting impact of residential schools through their programming, partnerships and events that build awareness, education, and connection between all people in Canada.“

So we painted a soundpicture for reconciliation.
Stop the wheel was inspired by a very special chant of freedom in Spirit of the Wind from the Native Canadian activist, songwriter and Oskar winning actress Buffy Sainte Marie. Even though I lost a chantcover on the recording road, my will for reconciliation still remains.
Thanks to secret paths,  today, I am very proud to be a fundraiser  for the Downie and Wenjack Fund, because they include Indigenous Canadian musicians, art projects and legacy school, to learn about the indigenous history under colonialism. This truth did not appear in my school books, as far as I can remember .
Concerning Native Americans, I often was wondering about this injustice of appropriation…and ignorance, at the same time…Didn’t you wonder, too??

••Windtanz••

•Stop the wheel• is a protest Protestong with three stations.

First part sang together  with Andrew Cadie against the greedy way of life of our modern western world.
Waste on the one side,
hunger and war on the other side.

•The twa Corbys• has a reading of a scottish poem,, which  I would like to use to remind humans, who were abused and thrown away like things..like the genocide on jewish people by the christian church and Nazi Terrorism before, during and after the second worldwar. Their stories have to be told and recognized as genocide

• Start • We all are equal on mother earth and the last part of the songs symbolises a calm step away from a colonialist hateful society and a step towards listening,  reconciliation, and learning… together!

Too many Indigenous women and children disappeared from their community.

This should never happen again!

I hope you appreciated these many words..

May this soundpicture also help to raise the awareness and  and remind us to honor and respect their stories, their communities, the ancestors never gave up to sing for….

Hey, this is Andrew Cadie.

Schaut gerne auf meiner Webseite vorbei.

To be continued.
